An
insight into West Ham United Football Club
About this Web site
This page was created by Steven Brett, an Open University student studying course T171 in 2001.
I have been a life long supporter of West Ham United and this is my insight into the club for anyone who is not familiar with it and would to like find out more.
There are two links to other sites for followers of the club who would like to keep up to date with West Ham's matches and any other news. I have also included a link to a Bobby Moore tribute page - he was a hero of mine and a truly outstanding footballer. This link then follows on to the Imperial Cancer Research web site. The final link goes to a site which has news on the ground development at Upton Park, the home of West Ham United.

Arguably West Ham's and
England's finest player. He played for West Ham for over 15 years and, as
team captain, was instrumental in England's 4 - 2 victory in the World Cup
of 1966. Written by Steve Rapport, this site is a fans tribute to Bobby
Moore.
Bobby
Moore Imperial Cancer Research Fund
Bobby Moore died of bowel cancer in February 1993. This
page gives details of the fund that was set up to establish a fitting tribute
to him. There is also
information about Imperial Cancer Research. This charity is particularly close
to my heart, as my brother in law died of the same disease in May 2000.
Chris
Thake, my brother-in-law.
This site has information and photos of the new stand being built at West Ham. It demonstrates that West Ham are a forward thinking club as the new stand will increase the ground capacity from 26,052 to over 40,000. This site also has a good selection of news stories and general information on the club, including instructions on how to find the ground for away supporters.
